On April 27, the first "Zhong-Jiang" Mountain Bike Cross-Country Arena Race kicked off at Heshan Raceway. The event attracted hundreds of mountain bike enthusiasts from across the province, with German outdoor brand VAUDE participating in the race and sponsoring various cycling backpacks as prizes.
At the sound of the referee's whistle, over two hundred fully geared-up mountain bike enthusiasts started the race. The competition featured three categories: Experience Group, Regular Group, and Open Group. The entire track spanned 3 kilometers and was entirely made of dirt. Participants in the Experience Group had to complete three laps of the full course. One of the most challenging parts of the track was a slope that stood 3 meters high with an approximate gradient of 45 degrees, which stumped many participants who had to push their bikes uphill.
