In May, the elite trail running training camp jointly launched by the world’s top outdoor brand Salomon and the International Skyrunning Federation began recruitment in seven major cities across China.
This year, the trail running event known as “where earth meets sky” — Skyrunning — comes to China. Renowned for its demanding course with significant elevation changes, high climbing difficulty, and short cut-off times, it is considered one of the most challenging trail running races in the world. To better promote trail running and bring international-level racing concepts and technical expertise to Chinese enthusiasts, Salomon will host a four-day elite trail running training camp on the Skyrunning course at Tianmushan in Hangzhou. It is reported that the course spans 37 kilometers, climbs nine peaks, and features an elevation gain of over 3,700 meters.
The recruitment for this training camp covers seven major cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Shenyang, Chengdu, Wuhan, and Hangzhou. From over 2,000 trail running enthusiasts, 15 outstanding athletes will be selected to participate in the four-day elite training camp. The top male and female participants will be sponsored by the Salomon brand to compete in the Skyrunning World Championships to be held on June 27 in Chamonix, France, realizing their dream of trail running excellence.
From June 5 to 8, Salomon international athletes Zhanna Vokueva and Cameron Clayton will come to Hangzhou to guide the training camp throughout. As veterans of the Salomon international sports team, their impressive achievements and remarkable trail running experiences vividly demonstrate how to be a joyful runner, how to enjoy the freedom and thrill of trail running, and they will also share key techniques and tips for trail running competitions.
The Salomon S-Lab series of trail running products, which have helped Salomon athletes win numerous championships and accolades, will support the training camp throughout.
