The grand opening of the Taibai Mountain Tourism Culture Week officially kicked off on May 18. During the event period, a fun “Mountain Treasure Hunt” activity will be held. As visitors climb Taibai Mountain, they can use their wits to overcome challenges, search for treasures, and win prizes.

It is reported that the treasure hiders have set up treasure locations at scenic spots such as the Lotus Peak Waterfall, Ink-Painting Mountain, Shangri-La, and Xiabansi on Taibai Mountain. In hidden spots at these locations—such as in the grass, on tree branches, or in rock crevices—treasures have been concealed. Participants can search for the treasures based on a treasure map. Each location contains a treasure gift box, inside of which is a treasure card. Once found, visitors can exchange the card for a prize at the information desk of the Taibai Mountain Visitor Service Center.

A total of 150 prizes are available, with 30 lucky winners each day. The prizes include entrance tickets to Taibai Mountain Scenic Area, Honghe Valley Scenic Area, and Phoenix Hot Springs.

Taibai Mountain, located in Baoji, Shaanxi Province, has a long history and has been a famous mountain in China since ancient times. During the Xia and Shang dynasties, it was called “Wu Mountain”; in the Zhou Dynasty, it was known as “Taiyi Mountain”; and it was not until the Wei and Jin periods that it became known as “Taibai Mountain.” Emperors throughout the dynasties bestowed titles and honors upon it, and literati and poets have left their footprints all over the mountain, composing numerous exquisite poems in praise of its scenery.

The Taibai Mountain Culture Week also features a series of exciting activities, including the recruitment of Taibai Mountain Tourism Ambassadors, the environmental protection “Pure Water Birds” initiative, the Taibai Mountain Treasure Hunt, winning big prizes by posting on Weibo, and sending blessings via Weishi. There are also prizes to be won, such as entrance tickets to Taibai Mountain Scenic Area, Taibai Mountain Rafting, Taibai Mountain Phoenix Hot Springs, and Honghe Valley Forest Park.
