1:1 Elsa Figure Displayed at Taiwan’s Only Disney•Pixar-Themed Cinema in Taichung

Taiwan’s only Disney•Pixar-themed cinema is located at Showtime Cinemas in Taichung. This movie theater, centered around Disney animation, is filled with references to Disney films and even features life-sized 1:1 models of Elsa, Anna, and Olaf, making visitors feel as though they’ve stepped into the world of Frozen and can sing along to “Let It Go.”

After nearly a year of careful preparation, Taiwan’s first “Disney•Pixar-themed cinema” has officially opened. Upon entering, you’ll find both the lobby and the screening room. Currently, the cinema mainly screens officially licensed Disney•Pixar movies, such as the newly released Coco. The themed lobby is decorated based on various Disney animations, currently featuring Frozen, with life-size 1:1 models of Elsa, Anna, and Olaf recreated for an immersive experience that brings Disney movies to life.

The screening room accommodates 31 people, with seats covered in themed seat covers. The opening film was Pixar’s new animated movie Coco, accompanied by the Disney short film Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, allowing fans of Olaf from Frozen to see his new adventures.

Inside the cinema, Disney•Pixar animated films are shown, while outdoors, there’s a retro American-style small town street scene with cute characters like Baymax saying hello, making you feel like you’re truly inside a movie. The beautiful Crystal Chapel has also been decorated vividly to match the new movie Coco, making you feel like you’re a character in a Disney film.

In the future, the lobby will regularly host storytelling sessions, theme song sing-alongs, parent-child painting activities, and more. Tickets for the screening room are NT$450 for adults and NT$390 for children. Upon entry, you’ll receive a Disney-themed card holder and an Olaf tote bag, and until November 30, you’ll also get a Disney Mickey bucket.
