As the foremost element among the six essential components of tourism, cuisine serves as a crucial lever for Langfang to tap into the short-distance weekend market from Beijing. Promoting tourism through food provides visitors with a multi-sensory stimulation of both sight and taste, delivering twice the result with half the effort. Based on the selection results, the organizers will implement the "5 Ones" plan: creating a Langfang Food Map, publishing a Langfang Food Book, producing a Langfang Food Microfilm, establishing a Langfang Specialty Food Zone, and hosting a Langfang Specialty Food Festival when appropriate. These initiatives aim to vigorously promote Langfang and its famous local foods, attracting more tourists to "Savor the Flavors, Explore Langfang."
This selection event will present the following three major features:
First, high-level planning. The organizing committee of this selection event invited the China Cuisine Association and DeAnJie Global Consulting Group, currently China’s largest and most influential travel planning and marketing company, to serve as the event’s organizing, hosting, and guiding planning units, striving to make the "Langfang's Best Flavors" Famous Local Food Selection Event an important platform for Langfang’s culinary exchanges, tourism interactions, and city image promotion.
Second, broad participation. This event adopted forms such as self-recommendations from catering businesses and individuals, as well as recommendations from social organizations, to widely collect the city’s distinctive and traditional foods and delicacies. Through online public voting, the selection of food experience ambassadors, tasting by public representatives, and expert reviews, the top ten most distinctive series of Langfang’s famous local foods were ultimately chosen. Throughout the event, the general public and tourists could directly participate, enhancing openness and engagement.
Third, significant impact.. By hosting the "Langfang's Best Flavors" Famous Local Food Selection Event, it will be established as an important platform for culinary cultural exchange, tourism interaction, and city image promotion. The event aims to build the brand of "Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Collaborative Tourism Development Starts in Langfang" within society, attracting more tourists from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei to "Savor the Flavors, Explore Langfang," further advancing the sound and rapid development of the city’s modern service industry, and striving to establish Langfang as a cultural experience city and tourist destination.
