Don’t sleep tonight！Taipei’s Art Night Festival features 28 performances that will keep you going until morning

Born in Paris,the "Nuit Blanche White Night,"after gaining participation from 120 countries, has made its special move to Taipei this year. Starting at 6 PM on October 1st (today) and running until 6 AM the next morning, there will be 27 installation artworks and 28 performances taking turns to entertain. The event will stretch from Beimen as the center, extending from north to south along the memories of old Taipei City, traversing the western district through time and space, allowing the public to experience the unique charm of old Taipei.

The biggest surprise of this event is undoubtedly the inclusion of the "Presidential Office" in the Nuit Blanche lineup. The usually heavily guarded Presidential Office opens to the public for the first time in the evening, welcoming visitors from 5 PM to 9 PM today. Additionally, clowns will guide guests around the Presidential Office gardens, where you can also enjoy the exhibition "The Palace – Power to the People."

The Nuit Blanche White Night site is divided into five major themes based on exhibition zones: "A Play in Dadaocheng," featuring a stage truck paired with music; "Fall in Love with This City," created by emerging artists showcasing Taipei’s street culture; "Beimen Back to the Future," combining light sculptures with electronic music to present a sci-fi scene; "Super Space South Road," transforming Chongqing South Road into a sci-fi movie set; and the National Taiwan Museum, which will become the "Museum of Betrayal," integrating interactive tech art and audiovisual performances to add a mysterious touch to the night.

In addition to various exhibition area activities, there will also be 10 musical performances. Led by Chen Ming-chang, the "New Black Cat Opera Troupe" will take everyone back to the lively days of Dadaocheng with retro music. This year’s most talked-about newcomer, Lee Ying-Hung, will electrify the scene with his unique Taiwanese hip-hop style in "Taipei Straight Collision." Plus, the internet-famous "Preaching Ancestor Society" will bring a late-night party with their catchy electronic melodies.
