At 1:00 PM on May 31st at Ocean Future Plaza, Hao Taotai Network, in collaboration with ROLLERBLADE
In just a few short days, through official registration on HowToTrip, nearly a hundred children aged 5 to 8 successfully signed up for this competition. At 10:00 AM, under the guidance of club coaches and parents, the young participants checked in one by one, put on the competition’s custom-made quick-dry T-shirts, attached their race numbers, and began getting accustomed to the venue and warming up.
The competition officially kicked off at 1:00 PM. For this event, children aged 5 to 8 all competed in a pursuit time trial format. During the race, each young racer focused intently in the starting stance, listening carefully for the starting whistle. Their roller skating skills amazed us — their speed and technique were impressive, and their serious expressions were no less intense than those of professional athletes during competition.
Roller skating itself not only helps improve children’s balance, coordination, agility, physical fitness, endurance, and fosters a spirit of perseverance, but also, when each young racer received the “completion certificate” we provided after the race, that sense of personal achievement made them love this “Mini Urban Race.”
Finally, seeing the award-winning kids on the podium, wearing gold, silver, and bronze medals and holding their prizes (roller skates, helmets, and protective gear provided by RB), filled us adults with joy as well.
