Last updated 2026-11-08 — Life is made extraordinary by challenges. A week ago, the Gobi Challenge left me feeling exceptionally calm, composed, and even tenderly liberated. Over four days and three nights, I completed 112 kilometers of the Gobi trek. As a woman, while I wouldn’t call it something to boast about, I did accomplish a personal challenge.
Life is made extraordinary by challenges.

Day of Experience

Battling the Sandstorm

The second day was the official race, where we tackled 33.5 kilometers of the Gobi in 4 hours and 54 minutes, ranking seventh for the day.

The Arduous Path

On the sunny and breezy third day, we crossed 35 kilometers of the Gobi in 4 hours and 20 minutes, ranking eighth for the day.

Reaching the Finish Line

The G9 Challenge was so profound, a healing journey. On the final day, I completed the remaining 22 kilometers in 2 hours and 40 minutes, ranking fifth for the day.

During the last day’s race, the presence and cheers of fellow participants were everywhere. Everyone’s stamina was nearly depleted, and what it came down to was endurance—whoever reached the finish line would be the victor, and I was certainly not one to back down. Just after the first kilometer, I felt I was going too fast and was gasping heavily. I clearly sensed that despite my efforts, I was struggling. Remembering how the night before I had insisted I didn’t need a pull, I grew anxious, unsure what had gone wrong. Watching the brightly dressed runners ahead pull farther away, I felt physically and mentally exhausted, on the verge of breaking down. I kept looking back at my teammates, but they had already disappeared from view. With the help of my teammates, I gradually neared the finish line. The final sprint is a blur in my memory—I only remember repeatedly telling myself, “Hold on, hold on, cross the line, get the card, check in!”

The Gobi journey ended perfectly, and I have no regrets. This trip to the Gobi brought me truly invaluable experiences, including deep impressions of the SWITCH sports watch.
