A charity concert and media conference themed “Please Let Me Help You,” jointly initiated by renowned Chinese musicians, songwriters, music producers, and singers Liu Xuanjie and Wang Bao, will be held at 7:30 PM on June 26 at the 1919 Small Theater in Beijing’s Chaoyang District. The event aims to oppose the Yulin Dog Meat Festival and advocate for the care of stray animals and wildlife. The event has invited numerous major music stars to attend, including well-known musicians Hao Yun, Xie Tianshou, Chuan Zi, Liu Junlin, Xin Zi, Liu Yuliang, Xue Shilang, MissMix Band, Chiren Band, Paradise Band, Laopijiang Band, Tangyi Wawa Band, Tui Band, Windsor Forest Band, Yu Mu & Band, Ye Fei, Zero Band, Ma Tiao, Yang Jiasong, and Distorted Machine Band, among others. Many artists who were unable to attend due to scheduling conflicts have also recorded VCRs related to the event to show their support. Prior to this, many other major celebrities such as Vincent Wong, Luo Zhongxu, Tao Xinran, Wu Yue, and Chen Jia have also shot public service photos for the event. It is believed that the active participation of the guests will make this event truly meaningful.

In line with the spirit of philanthropy, there will be no ticket sales at the event—entry is only by donation—and all celebrity guests are volunteering their time to support the cause. As is widely known, the Yulin Dog Meat Festival in Guangxi has repeatedly shocked the public conscience. The inhumane and bloody slaughtering of dogs has drawn condemnation from many compassionate individuals, making action to protect wildlife and stray animals imperative. This collective voice of stars speaking up for animals and making their first public stand against the Yulin Dog Meat Festival is sure to spark a new wave of public discourse.
In an interview, the event’s initiators and organizers, musicians Liu Xuanjie and Wang Bao, stated that caring for and rescuing stray animals, as well as protecting wildlife, is a stance and attitude everyone should have. Philanthropy is beyond question, and we are not afraid of public pressure. It is important to clarify that opposing the Yulin Dog Meat Festival is not about confronting tradition, but rather about hoping to awaken people’s most basic humanity and calling for the establishment of animal protection laws. They pledged that based on the donations received, public sentiment, and the impact of the event, they will continue to organize further activities for animal protection.
It is reported that this charity concert is organized by Orient Wisdom Light Culture Industry Group. More celebrities are expected to join the event in the near future.
