On July 12, the 2014 O’NEILL Snowboard Zone Training Camp officially kicked off at Beijing Qiaobo Indoor Skiing Arena.
Qiaobo Snow World is located in Shunyi District, Beijing. As a post-winter training base, Qiaobo offers the best summer skiing venue — Mellow Park. This year, Mellow Park features two jumps for enthusiasts to try out. Beijing Qiaobo Snow World Sports Development Co., Ltd., established in 2002 and named after former world champion Ye Qiaobo, is a large-scale, high-end comprehensive venue integrating an indoor ski arena and a conference resort hotel for sports, business, and leisure activities.
Wang Lei, President of the China Snowboard Alliance, served as the head coach of this training camp. He said, “Every year we receive applications from young people across the country, and these kids truly make remarkable progress after a month of training. I enjoy working with the kids, and it’s a very meaningful job for me.”
