The LOWA brand made its appearance at the 2014 Asia Outdoor Exhibition

In 1923, LOWA was born in the hands of a shoemaker named Johann Wagner in Jetzendorf, Bavaria, southern Germany. This elderly cobbler only worked during the day and devoted himself to the joy of creating music at night. As a result, the old craftsman could only make a few pairs of shoes each day, but each pair was of exceptional quality. Before long, these shoes became well known throughout Germany, forming the original LOWA shoes. Fifteen years later, the old cobbler’s son followed in his father’s footsteps and established the globally renowned, leading position of LOWA in the outdoor footwear industry. Despite 90 years having passed, the original craftsman’s sincerity and precision in handmade craftsmanship have been upheld as the enduring spirit of superior shoe-making at LOWA.
