The annual Beijing Ski Industry Summit is gearing up for this year’s major event. The 2014-2015 Beijing Ski Industry Summit is scheduled to take place on September 17-18 at Beijing Crab Island Resort. This premier platform for high-level professionals in China’s ski industry to exchange information, discuss issues, and explore collaborations will gather leading figures from all sectors of the domestic ski industry — executives from ski resorts across the country, heads of ski resort facility and equipment providers, representatives from ski industry management bodies, research and teaching institutions, ski clubs (websites), and travel agencies, who will engage in discussions on some of the hot topics surrounding the development of China’s ski industry.
This year’s Beijing Ski Industry Summit spans two days and features three major highlights that attendees can look forward to:
First, the Olympic Bid Topic. This year’s ski industry summit will focus on the opportunities brought by the Olympic bid and the development of China’s ski industry. It will facilitate discussions on how ski resorts, equipment suppliers, research and teaching institutions, and clubs (ski websites) can seize these opportunities, share benefits, and shoulder responsibilities. Get ready for the release of authoritative information about the Olympic bid, behind-the-scenes stories, and participation in the “Olympic Bid Signature Wall” campaign, where we’ll raise a strong voice from China’s ski industry in support of bidding to host the 2022 Winter Olympics!
Second, the Summit Dialogue. This year’s ski industry summit will be guided by the theme of “sharing, collaboration, and mutual success,” centering around topics such as “destination ski resorts and the ski vacation lifestyle” and “the virtuous cycle of ski resort operations and management.” Senior industry professionals will be invited to engage in dialogue, sharing their forward-looking analysis of China’s ski industry and hands-on experience in ski resort operations.
Third, the Breakout Sessions. For the first time this year, the ski industry summit will feature dedicated breakout sessions for ski resorts, ski resort equipment, and ski gear, respectively addressing key concerns within various sectors of the ski industry. These specialized discussions aim to make the exchanges at the ski industry summit more direct, professional, and efficient, while also providing greater opportunities for participation.
The 2014-2015 Beijing Ski Industry Summit is organized by Outdoor Life Magazine, co-organized by the Chongli Taiwu Four Seasons Cultural Tourism Resort, and hosted by the editorial team of Ski World.
