The sister event of Asia Bike — the Eurobike, recently concluded successfully in Friedrichshafen, Germany. As the world’s leading professional bicycle exhibition, this edition of Eurobike once again achieved outstanding results.
Another Milestone Achieved
The 23rd Eurobike was held from August 27 to 30, 2014, in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Covering 14 exhibition halls, the event attracted 1,320 exhibitors from 54 countries showcasing their latest products and brand images. Over four days, the show welcomed 46,300 professional visitors from 111 countries, while the final public day saw 21,100 cycling enthusiasts. A total of 1,852 journalists from 46 countries covered the event. During the show, exhibitors launched as many as 300 global product premieres. This year’s figures broke all previous records for Eurobike, reflecting the booming growth of the bicycle industry.
On August 26, the day before the official opening, the 8th Demo Day of Eurobike was held as scheduled. 147 exhibitors presented their latest 2015 models for professional visitors and media to test ride and experience. For the first time, Demo Day took place inside the Friedrichshafen exhibition halls, offering greater convenience for exhibitors, attendees, and the press. This year saw more participating brands, a 40% increase in visitor numbers, and greater international representation. “Moving the Experience Day into the halls has made logistics and transport much easier, and our clients are very satisfied with the arrangement,” said Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen, on the day of Demo Day.
Impressive International Media Coverage
The 2014 Eurobike attracted 1,852 media representatives from 46 countries. These included not only industry-specific publications but also daily newspapers, TV and radio reporters, with international journalists accounting for 53% of the total.
2015 Eurobike Dates Confirmed
The 24th Eurobike will take place from August 26 to 29, 2015, in Friedrichshafen, Germany, and will be open to professional visitors for the full duration. The final day, Saturday, August 29, will be the public day, open to cycling enthusiasts and the general public. Demo Day will be held on August 25, the day before the show. Sister Event – Asia Bike to Open Soon
One month after the conclusion of this year’s Eurobike, another major cycling event will kick off in Nanjing: the 4th Asia Bike will be held from October 9 to 12 at the Nanjing International Expo Center. The two days following the exhibition will be public days, where cycling fans and the general public can attend by ticket. The day before the show, October 8, the 2nd Experience Day will take place at Zhongshan Sports Park in Nanjing, where exhibitors will showcase their 2015 new products for test rides and hands-on experiences by attendees and the media.
