Sweet-toothed foodies, rejoice! The wildly popular Japanese French crepe specialty store gelato pique cafe creperie, which focuses on desserts for adults, is set to officially launch in Taiwan on September 30. Its first location will be at Taipei’s Shin Kong Mitsukoshi A8. In addition to French crepes, gelato pique cafe creperie has also collaborated with Tainan’s renowned ice cream shop, Juan Wei Jia, to offer a limited-time salted milk soft serve.
The crepes at gelato pique cafe creperie are made with French wheat flour and ECHIRE premium butter, and incorporate local Taiwanese ingredients. There are five sweet crepe flavors: classic French, sweet potato mash, matcha red bean, banana chocolate, and a seasonal chestnut option. Additionally, there are two savory crepes: French honey mustard chicken and spinach-smoked beef. The sweet potato mash crepe uses Taiwan’s Tainong No. 57 golden sweet potatoes, while the chestnut crepe is a fall-limited flavor launched in sync with Japan.

There is also Japan’s currently trendy “natural fruit smoothies,” featuring five popular gelato flavors: vanilla, classic chocolate, matcha, pistachio, and berry. Additionally, there is a one-month collaboration with Taiwan’s Juan Wei Jia, offering a daily limited-edition salted milk soft serve.
Japan’s Mash Holdings fashion business group established the comfortable homewear brand “gelato pique” in 2008. With a brand philosophy of creating home clothing as soft and cozy as ice cream, it uses the concept of “desserts for adults” to design women’s wear that is as irresistibly delightful as sweets—allowing women who dress fashionably for work during the day to also enjoy the pleasure of stylish comfort at home. It currently has a total of 58 stores in Japan and overseas.
