EVA Air Teams Up with Thai Airways for Joint Flights Starting Oct 30 — More Options to Thailand and North America

EVA Air announced that starting October 30, it will partner with Thai Airways under a codeshare agreement to jointly operate the Taipei Taoyuan–Bangkok route;from November 2, Thai Airways will also place its code on all of EVA Air’s North American flights. With this collaboration on Thailand and North America routes, passengers will have a total of 34 weekly flights to Thailand and 80 weekly flights to North America to choose from..

Currently, EVA Air operates 27 weekly flights from Taipei Taoyuan to Bangkok. With the codeshare partnership with fellow Star Alliance member Thai Airways, adding Thai Airways’ seven early-morning and late-evening flights per week, the total number of flights will reach 34 per week. Additionally, in its key North American market, EVA Air will launch new routes from Taipei Taoyuan toChicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York JFK, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, and Vancouverand so onand other major cities starting November 2. The number of direct destinations from Taiwan to North America will increase to eight, with a total of 80 weekly flightsavailable for passengers, offering more flexible travel arrangements.

EVA Air stated that with the codeshare, it expects to leverage Thai Airways’ extensive network and sales presence in Southeast Asia to attract more transit passengers via Taiwan to major North American cities, which will help both airlines expand their markets between North America and Southeast Asia.
