Lulang on the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318 cycling route, which means "Dragon King Valley" in Tibetan, is said to be the dwelling place of the Dragon King and also known as a place that "makes people not want to leave home." The area is filled with green mountains and crisscrossing rivers, featuring vast, year-round lush and verdant primeval forests and fields of azaleas stretching as far as the eye can see. At an altitude of 3,700 meters, Lulang is a typical alpine meadow region, approximately 15 kilometers long and about 1 kilometer wide on average. On both sides of Lulang, shrubs, spruces, and pines form the "Lulang Forest Sea" landscape along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318, arranged from low to high. In the middle lies a neatly arranged meadow, as if it has been manicured by hand; within the meadow, streams wind their way through, and springs babble softly. The grassland is dotted with various wildflowers such as primroses, asters, daphnes, and pedicularis, all competing in a vibrant display. Characteristic of the forested region, wooden fences, plank houses, wooden bridges, and scattered villages of farmers and herders are distributed in a well-balanced, picturesque layout, painting a tranquil and beautiful "mountain dwelling" scene. The Lulang Forest Sea along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318 is shrouded in mist and clouds, majestic and breathtakingly scenic, with distant snow-capped mountains and glaciers complementing the nearby primeval forests, villages, and rivers. The forest here is dominated by oak trees, and various bird species make their homes within it. The sea of azaleas on Sejila Mountain is also a famous scenic attraction in Nyingchi. From mid-April to early June each year, various colors of azaleas bloom in competition, creating an atmosphere filled with birdsong and floral fragrance, resembling a fairyland.
