The middle route of China’s South-to-North Water Diversion Project has entered the countdown to operation. By the end of this month, crystal-clear water will begin flowing from the Danjiangkou Reservoir, heading northward, passing under the Yellow River, traveling along the western side of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, meandering over 1,000 kilometers unaided, and finally reaching its endpoint in Beijing to supply countless households. To celebrate this historic moment, on October 14, Taiji Lake Scenic Area, in collaboration with Shiyan Evening News, launched a South-to-North Water Diversion-themed quiz event titled “Read the Paper, Answer Questions, Get Boat Tickets, Win Big Prizes.” Recently, it was reported that all 10,000 Taiji Lake “South-to-North Water Diversion Witness Tour” boat tickets were given away on October 20.
