Recently, the award ceremony of the Tujia & 57yx China Imaging Travel Photography Exhibition was successfully held in Beijing. The annual awards for "China Imaging Microphotography Photographer of the Year" and "China Imaging Travel Photographer of the Year" were announced on site, and two property apartments worth 550,000 yuan and 220,000 yuan respectively were presented to the winners. This marks the successful conclusion of the four-month-long 2014 Tujia & 57yx China Imaging Travel Photography Exhibition.
Strong Response, Vacation Apartment Prizes Become the Highlight
Since its launch in May this year, the competition has garnered huge response among photography enthusiasts nationwide, backed by the industry’s top-tier and professional judging panel. With official submission channels from 57yx and Tujia, as well as mobile submission options via Sina Weibo, WeChat, Ctrip, and LOFTER, the number of entries exceeded expectations. As of September 19, the total number of submissions reached 153,135, with over 4 million views, making it one of the most influential photography competitions in China.
A total of 15 annual awards were announced at the award ceremony. Among them, the "China Imaging Travel Photographer of the Year," awarded a fully furnished seaside apartment "Shanghai 17 Miles" worth 550,000 yuan, and the "China Imaging Microphotography Photographer of the Year," awarded a fully furnished vacation apartment "Seven Star Mansion" worth 220,000 yuan, attracted the most attention. These two vacation apartment prizes also became one of the focal points of the competition. The "China Imaging Travel Photographer of the Year" was won by Li Wuyang for his work "Sacred Mountain Buddhist Shadows," while the "China Imaging Microphotography Photographer of the Year" went to Wang Jingheng for his piece "Fog on the Highway." Regarding the 550,000-yuan vacation apartment prize, Travel Photographer of the Year Li Wuyang excitedly said, "I only joined this competition to win an iPhone, I never expected to take home the grand prize."
