As is well known, Nyingchi, located along the Sichuan-Tibet Highway 318, is a paradise for cyclists. Known as the "Jiangnan of Tibet," Nyingchi offers a full year of cycling opportunities—from peach blossoms in spring, sea of forests in summer, red leaves in autumn, to warm sunshine in winter. The renowned Baxiu Mountain Bike Race is held in the Baxiu Scenic Area (4A) of Gongbo'gyamda County, Nyingchi, and is currently the highest-altitude cross-country cycling event in China.
