The second annual conference of Summit Outdoor Sports School was successfully held on October 31, 2014, in Yangshuo, Guangxi. One hundred and seventy outdoor sports leaders from across the country, along with invited guests and brand representatives, gathered together.
Centered on the practical issues confronting outdoor sports leaders, and by drawing on mature international practices and expert opinions from various sectors, the conference conducted in-depth discussions on support platforms for outdoor club cooperation, legal issues faced by clubs, and cross-regional collaboration among outdoor sports clubs, proposing several feasible solutions.
The conference also recognized and awarded volunteers, partners who made exceptional contributions to the school and its students in 2014, as well as outstanding student performers.
A highlight of the conference was that attending students jointly issued the “Summit Leaders Declaration” to outdoor professionals nationwide, calling on outdoor leaders and practitioners across the countryto adhere to the principles of outdoor sports, fully identify and assess risks, promote environmental awareness in outdoor activities, and help participants gain the most valuable experiences. This marked the first time a civil outdoor industry group issued a code of conduct to peers, offering a benchmark for practitioners amidst the frequent issues occurring in outdoor activities around the country.
Upholding the philosophy of public benefit, Summit Outdoor Sports School has been committed to the popularization and promotion of public training for outdoor enthusiasts and professionals. Since 2012, the school has trained 385 outdoor leaders, moderators, and other professionals in fifteen provinces and cities across the nation.

We will follow the laws of outdoor sports, understand the various risk factors of outdoor activities, collect comprehensive information, fully identify and assess risks, and make appropriate preparations and responses. In the event of an accident, we will prioritize the safety of participants, strive to minimize losses, and prevent secondary disasters.
We will carefully study the characteristics of the target activity, understand the condition of participating members, develop suitable plans, and adjust them according to the onsite environment, striving to help participants achieve their goals while ensuring safety.
We will pay attention to the needs and feelings of participants, design activities accordingly, create a positive atmosphere, properly handle conflicts, guide emotions, and help participants gain the most valuable experiences.
We will care about our wilderness environment, promote environmental consciousness in outdoor activities, and align our actions—and those of our participants—with “Leave No Trace” principles, preserving the pristine nature of wild areas and leaving behind the last piece of wilderness for future generations.
We will spread healthy and scientific outdoor concepts, encouraging more people to enjoy outdoor activities safely, scientifically, and environmentally.
