Shanghai, Dec. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ — To better promote the prosperity and development of China’s and the world’s hotel industries, the second Chairmanship Office Meeting of the World Hotel Alliance in 2014 was held on November 29, 2014, at the national 5A-level scenic spot — Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone in Hainan. The meeting was jointly chaired by Wu Junlin, Founding Chairman and Director-General of the World Hotel Alliance, and Li Yong, Co-Chairman of the Alliance. Zhang Tao, Chairman of the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the host and introduced the zone.

At the meeting, Chairman Li Yong firstgavea keynote speech.He pointed out that the Chinese government is currently downplaying governmental functions and highlighting the guiding role of industry associations in the market. As an NGO, the World Hotel Alliance should play its unique role by bringing everyone together to form a strong collective voice.
Chairman Wu Junlin informed the attendees about the contents of the Cooperation Agreement regarding the establishment of projects such as the “World Hotel Cultural Tourism Demonstration Zone — World Hotel Alliance China Headquarters Base,” the “World Hotel Forum,” and the “China Hotel Culture Museum” in the “Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone.”
During the office meeting, a document exchange ceremony for the Cooperation Agreement between FERRINI International Hotels & Resorts Group and the Yanoda Rainforest Cultural Tourism Zone in Hainan was also held. Vice-Chairman Zeng Yan briefed attendees on the “FERRINI Yanoda Rainforest Resort Hotel.” Alliance advisors and the chairman presented appointment letters to the newly elected vice-chairmen, and it was discussed and approved that Vice-Chairman Zeng Yan would concurrently serve as the Executive Chairman of the “World Hotel Leaders China Club.”
Li Gongyu, Advisor to the Alliance Chairman and Deputy Director of Hainan Radio and Television Station, stated that the World Hotel Alliance is an alliance of hotel culture and an important force in promoting cultural tourism and cultural real estate. Enhancing the cultural and hotel dimensions within a national-level scenic area like Yanoda is a win-win move for both the scenic area and hotels.
