In the 2014–2015 snow season, Nanshan Ski Resort teamed up with Explore and Black Diamond to create the “Explore Nanshan Skiing & Mountaineering Lecture Series,” offering a platform for skiers and mountaineers to share and learn, as well as a structured introduction to skiing and mountaineering techniques. The first session of the Explore Nanshan Skiing & Mountaineering Lecture Series, held on December 27–28, 2014, was a great success, drawing broad interest and acclaim from skiing and climbing fans. To reach a wider audience and further popularize skiing and mountaineering knowledge, the second session is set to take place as planned on January 10–11, 2015.
This session will continue to recruit 10 participants from among skiing and mountaineering enthusiasts to attend the two-day lecture series free of charge, including lectures on skiing and mountaineering, snow camping, skiing and mountaineering training, as well as a special guest sharing session. Following the first session’s guest speaker — mountaineer Ms. Wang Jing, who shared her adventures on the Earth’s Nine Summits — this session’s special guest, Qiu Shu (online name), will present his “Introduction to High-Altitude Skiing and Mountaineering Peaks in China,” sharing his own skiing and mountaineering experiences with attendees. In addition to the 10 lucky participants who will enjoy the full program for free, the sharing session is open to the public, with 50 free spots available. Be a true explorer—snowy peaks are no longer out of reach.
