“The "Chuanxing Tong" air-rail intermodal productis detailed as follows:The air transport segment refers to the flight leg actually operated by Sichuan Airlines (currently limited to domestic routes); the rail transport segment is a virtual flight operated by Sichuan Airlines and must be sold together with the air transport segment. If passengers purchase an air transport segment ticket for the "Chuanxing Tong" product priced at 50% or more of the full fare, they may also have the opportunity to ride the Chengdu-Mianyang-Leshan High-Speed Rail for free to the aforementioned five destinations. Against the backdrop of the approaching Spring Festival travel rush, rising passenger volumes, and increasing fares, the launch of "Chuanxing Tong" allows passengers to enjoy the convenience of "one-ticket travel," eliminating the hassle of "scrambling for train tickets," while also benefiting from the "free high-speed rail ride." The introduction of "Chuanxing Tong" enriches Sichuan Airlines' existing product offerings and helps enhance market competitiveness.
The Chengdu-Mianyang-Leshan High-Speed Rail has a station at Terminal 2 of Shuangliu Airport. Passengers who purchase "Chuanxing Tong" can transfer from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 to board the high-speed rail after arriving. It is important to note that passengers purchasing "Chuanxing Tong" must book their tickets by 12:00 noon (inclusive) one day before the flight departure; transfers must be completed at least 90 minutes before the train's departure by presenting the valid original ID used for ticket purchase at the Departure Inquiry Counter, Exit 8, 2nd Floor, Terminal 1, Shuangliu Airport, to exchange for the train ticket.
The rail transport segment of Sichuan Airlines' "Chuanxing Tong" is only applicable to adults. Children’s tickets can be exchanged for adult train tickets, but infant tickets do not qualify for train tickets, and unaccompanied minors cannot currently purchase this product. Special passenger transportation follows relevant railway transport regulations.
During the operational phase from January 5 to March 28, "Chuanxing Tong" will only sell air-to-ground intermodal products. After the trial operation phase, Sichuan Airlines will introduce more product combinations based on market demand changes to further facilitate passenger connections.
