They plan to conduct a half-month visit, inspection, and teaching exchange program at multiple major ski resorts across various provinces and cities in China. This initiative aims to continue and deepen the friendly cooperative relationship between both parties, and further promote and publicize skiing tourism in Whistler.
The delegation includes Ian “Jenkins,” Asia-Pacific Sales Director and Customer Manager of the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort; Stephanie “Forsyth”; Justin “Hartwell,” Director of the Ski School; and Tracy “Fraser,” Training Manager of the Ski School. These four individuals have been actively committed to promoting exchanges and cooperation between Whistler and China since their visit to China during the previous ski season.
Mr. Ian “Jenkins” (Ian
Jenkins), the Sales Director, has been engaged in the ski tourism industry in Whistler for21years. His work experience covers all aspects of the industry chain, including business development, marketing, and sales & rental services, making him a seasoned executive at the Whistler ski resort.
Ms. Stephanie “Forsyth” (Stephanie Forsyth), the Asia-Pacific Customer Manager, has been involved in the ski tourism and education industry for23years. She has held various positions, including resort scheduling supervisor, ski school director, sales supervisor, and customer manager. Additionally, she is aCSIA 3level instructor and aCSCF 2level instructor, with a teaching career in Whistler spanning14years.

Mr. Justin “Hartwell” (Justin Hartwell), Director of the Ski School, and Ms. Tracy “Fraser” (Tracey Fraser), Training Manager, are both veteran ski instructors in Whistler, each with15years of teaching experience. Hartwell holdsCSIA 3level andCSCF 2level coaching certifications, while Fraser is aCSIA 4level instructor,CSIA 3level course instructor, andCSCF 2Level coach.
Building on the strong friendship already established between the two sides, this inspection tour will expand both in scope and duration. The ski resort visits include multiple large international ski resorts such as Beijing’s Junshan, Yuyang, Wanlong, Nanshan, as well as those in Northeast China like Yabuli, Beidahu, Wanda, and GuaiPo. Activities cover the World Snow Day press conference, Yabuli development20Year Ski Industry Forum, children’s ski instruction,VIPmember ski instruction, and the major promotional event “Whistler Maple Night.” In addition, the delegation includes members from Beijing Lanyahong Culture Development Co., Ltd. and various leading domestic outdoor media teams. During this Whistler Ski Resort inspection tour’s Beijing stop, at the Jundu Mountain Ski Resort, we will conduct a three-day visit and exchange program from16No. to18No., making it the destination with the longest duration and the richest schedule of activities.
16On the afternoon of No., senior coaches from Whistler will personally teach lucky young students from the Jundu Mountain Winter Camp, and after the lessons, they will present the children with fun certificates from the Whistler Ski Resort.
17On No., the exciting “Jundu Mountain-Whistler Maple Night” will make a cool debut. On the day of the event, we will engage warmly with snow enthusiasts on-site. Participants can receive Canadian-themed souvenirs, taste ice wine sponsored by theBCProvincial Tourism Board of Canada, as well as Canadian specialty desserts brought by the coaches. At6PM, we will enjoy a big air bag jump performance by Whistler coaches and special invited skaters on Jundu Mountain’s4Run, while snow enthusiasts can also gather around the bonfire to taste mulled wine,BBQand other delicacies. Participants will also have the chance to win snow goggles sponsored by Bollé, running shoes from Tecnica, and single-day lift tickets to the Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort.
