The European Outdoor Group (EOG) has further strengthened its exhibition cooperation with ISPO, its sole partner in China, by exclusively supporting ISPO SHANGHAI, the multi-category sports industry platform’s summer edition in China. A multitude of international renowned brands have already confirmed their participation.

To meet the summer market demand of China’s sports industry, ISPO SHANGHAI, the Asia (Summer) Sporting Goods and Fashion Exhibition, will be grandly held from July 2–4, 2015, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC). Positioned to promote a “sports lifestyle,” it aims to drive the industry’s sustained and steady growth; while further reinforcing its outdoor strengths, it also gathers new summer categories such as water sports, extreme trends, urban fitness, and camping & road trips. All sectors of the industry, especially international partners, have given positive feedback and strong support to this brand-new multi-category summer sports exhibition.

The exclusive cooperative support from the European Outdoor Group (EOG) is a key factor ensuring the success of the inaugural ISPO SHANGHAI. EOG Secretary-General Mr. Mark Held commented: “ISPO SHANGHAI is not just a single exhibition for us, but part of our year-round collaboration. It provides EOG and all our members with ample new resources and numerous new opportunities. We believe ISPO SHANGHAI will achieve comprehensive success.”

Mr. Rolf Schmid, EOG Chairman and Global CEO of MAMMUT (Mammoth), explained: “MAMMUT’s decision to participate in next year’s ISPO SHANGHAI stems from our recognition that ISPO has always been a hub for core forces in sports and outdoor, and China is the most promising emerging market in this industry. Messe München is hosting both the Shanghai summer show and the Beijing winter show in China, meeting our full-year needs. We believe ISPO will definitely satisfy us.”

Mr. Lin Xiongjian, General Manager of Shenzhen Himalaya Trading Co., Ltd., the Chinese agent for well-known North American outdoor brands Black Diamond and OUTDOOR RESEARCH, stated: “Since ISPO entered China, we have maintained close and pleasant cooperation. At this professional exhibition, we can effectively showcase our brands to professional audiences. Returning to Shanghai after ten years, I believe this will mark a brand-new beginning for ISPO.”

In addition to MAMMUT, Black Diamond, and OUTDOOR RESEARCH, a multitude of international renowned brands have already confirmed their participation in ISPO SHANGHAI 2015, including: Fj

Mr. Dittrich, CEO of Messe München, particularly emphasized: “The positive feedback from our clients and the exclusive support provided by EOG both confirm the validity of ISPO SHANGHAI’s concept of ‘building a multi-category summer sports industry platform.’ Our globally largest sports exhibition hosted in Munich — ISPO MUNICH — has, with over 40 years of history, demonstrated to the industry that ‘multi-category’ is the key to sustained success, as emerging potential markets will arise from the intersection of different categories.”
