Hong Kong 100km Ultra Trail: Chinese Runner Makes a Stunning Debut

    Challenging, endurance-testing, elite-packed, and featuring fierce rivalries have always been the hallmark traits of the Hong Kong 100km Ultra Trail, one of Asia’s premier trail running events. Meanwhile, the “HK100” also attracts numerous domestic and international trail running enthusiasts thanks to its route, which features breathtaking scenery such as pristine beaches with clear waters and soft sands, as well as dense ancient forests. In 2015, the “HK100” became the first leg of the ULTRA-TRAIL World Tour, chosen by many elite trail runners as their opening race of the year.

When asked about Yan Longfei’s growth in 2014, Sky also commented that his progress over the past year had been remarkable—from the shy champion at the Dalian 100 in April last year to the confident, king-like presence he displayed after winning the “HK100.” This growth would not have been possible without the support of the Salomon sports team, which focuses on individual athlete development.
