How can there be such a huge post office convenience box on the main road? It turns out this is a green energy–themed post office in Pingtung, featuring 3D mural paintings. Fangshan Post Office, Branch 41 in Pingtung, was newly unveiled on the 14th. With its distinctive appearance and green energy design—and being located in the hometown of President Tsai Ing-wen—it has become one of the most unique post offices in Taiwan.

The exterior renovation of Fangshan Post Office is Taiwan’s first green energy cultural and artistic project, featuring a post office design with 3D mural architecture. Not only does it integrate ecological conservation into the exterior design, but the solar panels installed on the roof also put on anhourly green energy light-and-panel opening showthat is quite eye-catching. The entire project was funded by the Directorate General of Posts with NT$2 million, and the mural painting took three months to complete. On the 14th unveiling, it attracted many people to come take photos and check in.

In addition to being painted as a giant post office convenience box, the box inside Fangshan Post Office is also filled with the local specialty—Irwin mangoes—to promote agricultural product marketing and care. Moreover, the Directorate General of Posts designed Taiwan’s first shrike-themed mailbox. It not only uses the migratory characteristic of the shrike to symbolize the postman’s spirit of delivering no matter what, but also aligns with the concept of conserving Fangshan’s ecological species, making the mailbox not only cute and fun but also rich in local environmental protection and ecological education concepts.
