February 2015 Beijing Hotel Sentiment Analysis Report

According to the MCI (Market Cognition Index) of regional hotel sentiment by迈点 (Meadin), Beijing Hulv Hotel ranked first in Beijing for February with an index score of 100. Xingyuan Siheyuan Inn, Beijing Marriott Executive Apartments, Conrad Beijing, and Beijing Sifu Inn followed in second to fifth place, with sentiment index scores of 100, 97.95, 97.92, and 97.60 respectively.

　　I. Latest Developments Among Beijing Hotels in February

　　1. On February 17, the eve of Chinese New Year’s Eve, the White Swan Hotel, whose renovation project was nearing completion, held a simple yet grand staff mobilization meeting and New Year event themed “Passion Leaps Forward, Legends Continue.” Approximately 700 employees from the White Swan Hotel and various departments of the White Swan Hotel Management Group attended the event.

　　2. On February 3, 2015, with the unveiling of the Beijing Sunrise Kempinski Hotel, the final phase of the largest project by Kempinski Hotels in China — the new Beijing Sunrise Kempinski Hotel & Yanqi Island Destination — was completed and opened.

　　A hotel mystery shopper report noted: The hotel’s facade is just a simple small signboard with the two characters “壶庐” (Hulv). Those who look closely will also notice a small English plaque. To ensure the privacy and security of guests, the wooden door remains closed at all times. The front desk doubles as a bar area, featuring a mix of styles: plain white walls contrast with a modern bar counter in the back, and two uniquely designed stools add a distinctive touch.

　　A tourist traveling with friends said: “If you’re traveling on your own, it’s really suitable to stay at a place like this. It’s refined, convenient, and close to major attractions in the city.
