The longest fireworks show of New Year's Eve 2017 is coming to E-DA World – a 999-second spectacle challenging Taiwan’s record!

The 2017 E-DA World countdown event will light up the night sky of the harbor city with the longest and most spectacular fireworks display in Taiwan. Themed “2017 Purple Glory E-DA, Love You to the Infinite,” the celebration will feature a dazzling fireworks show lasting 999 seconds at midnight on December 31, 2016, at E-DA World!

E-DA World has become one of the major highlights of Taiwan’s New Year’s Eve fireworks every year, attracting tens of thousands of attendees. This year, aiming to deliver an even more breathtaking display, both the duration and content of the show will be enhanced. It is expected to break the record for the longest New Year’s Eve fireworks in Taiwan, extending the show to 999 seconds—111 seconds longer than last year—and will use safe, eco-friendly cold fireworks throughout. A top-notch fireworks team will also showcase high-level pyrotechnic techniques.

Notably, this year a special 60-meter-high 3D column will be installed to launch the fireworks. The fireworks team has uniquely integrated the display with E-DA World’s landscape to create a fireworks corridor, incorporating elements of Chinese ink painting art—resembling a magnificent airborne waterfall in the night sky.
