Singapore, March 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- CyberSource, the world’s largest provider of electronic payment and commerce management solutions and a subsidiary of Visa Inc. (NYSE: V), today announced a strategic collaboration with Korean Air, South Korea’s largest airline, to offer secure online payment acceptance and enhance the overall customer experience.

In terms of passenger capacity, Korean Air ranks among the top 20 airlines globally [1], with its passenger and cargo divisions currently serving 126 cities across 45 countries. As part of its initiative to boost customer satisfaction, Korean Air is developing a new Passenger Service System (PSS) that will help form a Global Payment System integrating all payment and acquiring services. Through CyberSource’s global payment gateway solution, Korean Air will be able to securely accept a wide variety of payment methods, including enabling its sales channels to process debit cards, credit cards, and other payment options.

Korean Air believes that deploying the new Global Payment System, combined with CyberSource’s solutions and expertise, will elevate the customer experience to new heights. The airline is confident that its partnership with CyberSource will meet the diverse payment preferences of its customers, who come from 45 countries worldwide.

Korean Air’s payment solution will also leverage CyberSource’s fraud management solutionDecision Manager to further prevent fraudulent transactions,Decision Manager whose precision stems from having the world’s largest fraud detection radar;Decision Manager With powerful insights derived from over 60 billion transactions processed annually by Visa and CyberSource, supplemented by more than 260 international validation tests, it will enable Korean Air to automatically screen more inbound orders with greater speed and accuracy.
