The world’s leading travel search website, Skyscanner, recently conducted a study on the optimal time for Chinese travelers to book flight tickets. The results show that if Chinese consumers wish to successfully book the cheapest flights for 2015, the best time to book is 23 weeks before their trip.
This study is based on Skyscanner’s analysis of data from the past three years, during which travelers made over 250 million flight bookings via Skyscanner’s PC and mobile platforms. Skyscanner also found that the best time to book a flight is closely related to the travel destination. For example, it recommends that travelers planning to visit Thailand book their tickets 9 weeks in advance, while those traveling to farther destinations (such as the United States) should consider booking 28 weeks in advance to secure the cheapest fares.

Note:
Based on data from the past three years, Skyscanner studied millions of flights. This comprehensive research covered all travel times to every destination. The data is derived from the actual behavior of travelers and the real prices they paid for flights, including taxes and fees.
