Planning an outing with your pet over the weekend? Why not head to an outdoor pet park and enjoy nature together?Taipei Panoramacompiled a list of Taipei’s top 3 outdoor pet parks in October, allowing urban pets and their owners to bask in the sunshine and green grass to the fullest.

1. Yingfeng Dog Sports Park
Yingfeng Dog Sports Park is located in Yingfeng Riverside Park near Tayou Road, covering about one hectare. It is Taiwan’s first dog sports park. Every holiday, it attracts many families with pets, and many dog lovers often gather here. According to regulations, pets must be leashed in public parks, but if you want your furry friend to run and roll freely on urban grass, Yingfeng Dog Sports Park is the perfect choice.

＞ Take bus 0 East, 12, or 214 to Minquan Bridge at the end of Tayou Road, then walk to Tayou Evacuation Gate (Keelung No. 6 Sluice Gate), or take bus 262 or 604 to Keelung No. 6 Sluice Gate.
＞ Enter Yingfeng Riverside Park, turn left after entering the sluice gate, and walk about 1 km along the embankment road to reach the park.

2. Qingtiangang Grassland Scenic Area
Located in Yangmingshan National Park, Qingtiangang is not only a great spot to see herds of cattle grazing but also an ideal place to bring your pet for an outing. Especially in October and November, you can enjoy the pleasant autumn weather, admire the silvergrass, and stroll along the mountain loop trail with your furry companion to take in the vast scenery and cozy autumn vibes.
However, the Animal Protection Office reminds the public that when taking pets to open public areas, they must be kept on a leash to ensure the safety of both humans and dogs. Additionally, avoid feeding stray cats and dogs randomly, as improper feeding locations can put them in dangerous situations.

＞ Take Bus Xia 15 or 108 directly, or take Bus 108, 109, 219, 260, 260 (Section), Xia 9, or Xia 9 (Section) to Yangmingshan Station, then transfer to Tourist Shuttle Bus 108.

3. Dagouxi Ecological Flood Control Park
Adjacent to Dahu Park, Dagouxi Ecological Flood Control Park features beautiful garden landscapes and a small stream running alongside walking paths. It serves as a backyard for residents of Neihu and a water-play paradise for pets. Pets can freely run and explore the water platforms, stepping stones, and spacious lawn areas, or cool off in the stream. To maintain cleanliness, the park provides dog waste stations and poop bags for visitors’ convenience.

＞Take bus No. 278, 284, 287, 617, 620, or 630 and get off at “Dahu Park Station”. Enter from Dahu Villa Street, and you’ll arrive after passing Dahu Elementary School.
＞Take the MRT Wenhu Line and get off at “Dahu Park Station”. Exit from Exit 1, enter from Dahu Villa Street, and you’ll arrive after passing Dahu Elementary School.
