Recently, it was announced by Panshan, a national 5A-level scenic area, that the highly popular large-scale live-action landscape performance "Tianxia · Panshan" will make a grand return this month on the 27th.
It is understood that the live performance "Tianxia · Panshan," directed by Mei Shuaiyuan, the founder of China's live-action landscape performances, is set in the picturesque Panshan Scenic Area. Panshan is a national key scenic spot and one of the first national 5A-level tourist attractions. It is renowned both in China and abroad for its "superior pine trees on the upper section, unique rocks on the middle section, and beautiful waters on the lower section," and is hailed as the "Number One Mountain East of the Beijing Region." Throughout history, many emperors and celebrities have visited Panshan, especially Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, who traveled to Panshan 32 times. The live performance "Tianxia 'Panshan'" draws on the unique natural landscape of Panshan, using the poems written by Emperor Qianlong during his visits as a narrative thread. It also incorporates numerous folk legends and historical allusions. With a cast of over 300 performers, the show uses art forms such as song and dance, music, acrobatics, magic, and illusion to stunningly recreate royal grandeur, rural charm, and Buddhist scenes, telling an extraordinary love story.
According to reports, since its public premiere last year, the production team of "Tianxia · Panshan" has been continuously refining the overall effect. To enhance the stage effects, this year all 300 performers are professional dance students from the Dance Department of the Sports and Arts College of Tianjin University of Sport, located in Jizhou County. Meanwhile, adjustments have also been made in the arrangement of the storyline, the pacing and twists of the plot, as well as sound, light, and special effects, all aiming to deliver an even more spectacular visual feast for visitors.
