―The UNESCO World Natural Heritage site Jinfo Mountain becomes Chongqing’s first “China Fitness Mountain”
In May, Jinfo Mountain in Chongqing is like a child’s face—sunny one moment, rainy the next. After the rain, the mountain is full of vitality and lush greenery.

Mr. Wang Yongfeng, Vice Chairman of the China Mountaineering Association and renowned mountaineer, presented certificates and awards to the top three male athletes in the speed race group. The champion of the men’s speed race group, Li Zicheng from Shandong (second from right), the runner-up, Gao Yongning from Gansu (first from left), and the third-place finisher, Chen Guanbao from Yunnan (first from right), stepped onto the stage to receive their honors.
Thanks to the active preparations by the Nanchuan District Government of Chongqing, the Jinfo Mountain Management Committee, and the Chongqing Tourism Investment Group, the third stop of the 2015 China Fitness Mountains Mountain Climbing Competition attracted nearly 1,098 athletes from across the country. Over 60 domestic and international media outlets, including CCTV-5, Phoenix Online, Sina.com, China Talents, Chongqing Satellite TV, Chongqing Daily, and Nanchuan TV Station, provided coverage of the event.
