Moscow, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Aeroflot (Moscow Exchange ticker: AFLT) has taken delivery of a new 777-300ER aircraft ordered directly from the Boeing factory. This is the 13th of the airline's total order of 16 B777-300ERs.

This new aircraft further enhances Aeroflot’s long-haul route capacity. The airline operates long-haul flights to destinations including, but not limited to, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Seoul, Tokyo, New York, and Los Angeles from its hub at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport, which has rapidly developed into a major East-West transit hub.
The new 777-300ER features Business Class, Economy Class, and Comfort Class, and is named after the renowned Russian playwright Alexander Ostrovsky (Alexander Ostrovsky), whose works hold an important place in the history of Russian theater. The aircraft boasts spacious and iconic interior features, including large overhead bins, making it highly popular among passengers. It is also equipped with Boeing’s Airplane Health Management system.
The airline offers premium services for Comfort Class passengers at competitive prices, including more legroom, higher free baggage allowances, upgraded meal options, additional airline loyalty miles, as well as a warm Russian welcome in English from the cabin crew and award-winning in-flight service.
Compared to other global airlines, Aeroflot has one of the youngest fleets in the world. In 2014, the flagship Russian carrier was named the world’s most punctual airline by Flightstats twice.
