A mobile bar that wandered from place to place has finally found its home along this stretch of Chai Mountain coastline. The owner, who pursues a life of taste and refinement, chose this hidden gem of a beach—even many locals in Kaohsiung don’t know about it—to build a creative, artistic fortress of craftsmanship. Chai Mountain is one of the most romantic spots in all of Kaohsiung to watch the sun dip below the horizon, and “Wandering Bar” sits right in the prime viewing area. With no obstructions or surrounding buildings, the boundless seascape and sunset are right before your eyes.

The fruit smoothies in the shop are as beautiful as works of art. Made from various fruits and blended into slushies, then mixed with yogurt to create filling, refreshing drinks—100% natural so you can taste the original flavors. The owner says, “The word ‘terroir’ comes from France, representing the land—weather conditions, geographical environment, and human history. But it’s not always open to the public. Because there’s only one staff member from Monday to Thursday, reservations are required to maintain service quality, with a daily limit of 30 people. On weekends, the limit is 80 reservations per day. Once fully booked, walk-ins won’t be admitted. Travelers hoping to wander in for a rest will have to cross their fingers.
