Hangzhou, June 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Yuehai Hotel Group, one of China's largest hotel groups, has added another cultural-themed property to its portfolio -- Hangzhou Tianyu "Kaiyuan." Situated atop Chengshan Mountain in Jinhua Town, Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou, this project is the group's first tourism complex centered around integrating the natural landscape of the mountain. It is planned to consist of a cultural-themed hotel (Tianyu "Kaiyuan) and a traditional Chinese villa residential area (Kaiyuan Tianyu). Currently, the hotel portion has completed its main structure and has entered the interior decoration phase. Key management personnel have been largely appointed, and trial operations are scheduled to begin by the end of August.

The hotel is located on the former site of the palace of Goujian’s father, King Shun of Yue, and is a preserve of Wu-Yue culture. The entire structure is nestled within dense mountain forests and built around Tianyu Lake. It comprises a total of 111 guest rooms, including 66 hillside villas and 45 pavilion suites. The architectural style adopts the design of Jiangnan-style village residences, where open courtyards and lobbies seamlessly blend the hotel with the natural mountain scenery. Stone pavilions on the mountaintop invite you to stroll among the clouds and pluck stars from the sky.
The hotel offers over 550 dining seats, including four meeting rooms, two Chinese and Western restaurants, and is staffed by experienced chefs who craft mountain delicacies and green ecological cuisine, providing guests with a comprehensive healthy wellness menu.
