Ge Jianxiong, Standing Committee Member of the 12th National Committee of the CPPCC and member of the Ministry of Education’s Social Sciences Committee, Lian Ji, Standing Committee Member of the Gansu Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Minister of Propaganda, Wang Yong, Director of theEMBAEducation Center of Tsinghua University's School of Economics and Management, and other guests attended today’s press conference. According to the organizers,7from1to,5, over400Tsinghua School of Economics and ManagementEMBAstudents will form15competing teams to undertake a 100-kilometer trek through the Hexi Corridor, a key hub of the ancient Silk Road trade routes, and at the foot of the Yanqi Mountains — home to the Han and Ming Great Walls and the site of past World Expos.-Hexi Corridor, at the historic Han and Ming Great Walls and beneath the Yanqi Mountains, known as the hometown of past World Expos, participants will embark on a 100-kilometer trek.

 

The competition includes events such as cross-country running, loaded hiking, camping, horseback riding, map-based orienteering, and cultural navigation, with awards including Overall Champion, Competition Awards, and Team Influence Awards.

 

This challenge is an important component of Tsinghua University’s School of Economics and ManagementEMBA "Learning from China" course. At the launch, the organizers issued a global call to business elites for “Wisdom in Action,” promoting the philosophy of “Walking with the Wise — Where Mind and Footsteps Journey Together.” They encouraged participants to gain insights through walking and elevate themselves through those insights. Professor Peng Kaiping, Head of Tsinghua University’s Psychology Department, interpreted the concept of “Wisdom in Action” via video message, calling on everyone to be “wise travelers” in life.
