On June 11, a senior girl from Shenzhen University planted a dream she had kept in her heart for four years on the dream crowdfunding platform "Dream Garden": the entire class would dress in graduation gowns and take on Happy Valley's "catapult roller coaster" together. On the 14th, the dream seed blossomed. The girl’s dream was supported by her entire class and backed by the "Dream Garden." The classmates held a wild graduation party at Happy Valley in Shenzhen’s Overseas Chinese Town. They took graduation photos at the park, rode the roller coaster in their gowns, planted their career dreams on Dream Garden, and brought a perfect close to their bittersweet graduation season.

By the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, just over a month after the platform launched, more than 3,000 dreams had been planted in the "Dream Garden": some dreamed of volunteering in Kenya; some hoped to take wedding photos for their elderly parents and take them on a honeymoon; some wished to establish a workers’ association for city street cleaners; some aspired to build 2,000 libraries across China... Reading these colorful dreams, one can almost see the vivid faces and striving figures of those chasing their dreams.

Today, the “dream planting” craze has spread from Shenzhen to cities like Beijing and Shanghai, with activities continually expanding to more locations. Thanks to the support of Overseas Chinese Town, related public welfare partners, socially minded enterprises, and individuals, we have seen dream seeds like those of the Shenzhen University graduates blossom, and some urgently needed dreams have quickly received help from the community.
It is understood that the "Dream Garden" platform will continue through the second half of 2015. The platform will gradually develop additional entry points and combine online dreaming with offline support to further realize public welfare dreams and help others achieve theirs. During this period, Overseas Chinese Town, along with existing platform initiators and individuals, will continue to welcome more dreamers and supporters to join the campaign, further amplifying its impact — making dreams more tangible, dreamers less hesitant, and supporters more fulfilled in achieving public welfare goals.

Socrates said: The happiest thing in the world is to strive for an ideal. Dreams are captivating because they represent a future life full of promise; dreams are captivating because they are equal for every dream chaser. The launch of the "Dream Garden," a public crowdfunding platform for dreams, marks not only a leap forward for public welfare crowdfunding but also a perfect union between the crowdfunding model and the theme of dreams. In the "Dream Garden," every dream seed planted by a dreamer has a chance to be blessed by fortune, and every bit of enthusiasm from a supporter can bloom into beautiful flowers. The campaign is in full swing — dreamers, come gather at the Overseas Chinese Town "Dream Garden" (follow Creative Overseas Chinese Town to begin your dream journey).
