Swissôtel Jinan in East China to Open in 2020
Singapore, June 29, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- FRHI Hotels & Resorts (FRHI), one of its flagship brands — Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts, and Nanjing JinGao Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Jiangsu Golden Land Group, today announced plans to develop and build a new hotel in Jinan, the capital city of Shandong Province in East China. The new property will join the growing portfolio of Swissôtel-branded hotels in China and is scheduled to open its doors in 2020.

Swissôtel Jinan will feature 248 guest rooms, five distinctive food and beverage outlets, and nearly 2,900 square meters (31,000 square feet) of event and banquet space. This world-class hotel will also offer Pürovel, Swissôtel’s wellness brand rooted in the Alps, providing spa and sports facilities for both business and leisure travelers.
The hotel will be located in Jinan’s new financial district and the Hanyu Area of the High-Tech Zone, as part of a large-scale mixed-use development combining residential, retail, and office spaces. Covering 13.3 square kilometers, the Hanyu Area is home to numerous office towers, residential buildings, and commercial facilities. It benefits from direct metro access, proximity to Jinan International Airport — which connects Beijing and Shanghai — and an extensive high-speed rail network.
As the capital of Shandong Province, Jinan is a key administrative and economic center in China and a transportation hub in East China. It connects the Yangtze River Delta economic zone to the south and the Bohai Economic Rim to the north, and lies near the ports of Tianjin and Qingdao.
