Beijing, July 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- International luxury hotel management group Wanda Hotels & Resorts announced the appointment of Mr. Qian Jin as President to lead and drive the company’s ambitious global expansion plans and achieve its long-term vision.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the luxury hotel industry, Mr. Qian Jin is a highly respected expert and leader in the field. He joined Starwood Hotels & Resorts in 1986, working at the Sheraton Huating Hotel in Shanghai. Two years later, he was transferred to Fiji as Resident Manager. In 1995, he was appointed General Manager of the Sheraton Langkawi Resort & Spa in Malaysia, and in 2000, he moved to the Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, where he was responsible for operations of hotels in China. Since 2012, Mr. Qian has served as President of Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Greater China, where he introduced numerous innovative initiatives tailored for the Chinese market and actively expanded business development in the region. Under his leadership, the brand's footprint continued to grow, and he was also instrumental in establishing Starwood’s Greater China headquarters in Shanghai.

Mr. Qian holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Bond University in Australia and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Victoria University (Victoria University).
