Kunming, July 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Uniting the power of compassion to transform the lives of underprivileged children, on July 3, Holiday Inn Kunming City Centre, along with the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kunming and Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre, hosted the 2015 "Chinese Dream, Love First" charity auction gala dinner at the hotel’s Zentih Thai Restaurant, raising over 64,000 yuan in total. The funds will go toward improving the living and learning conditions of impoverished children in Yunnan Province, spreading care and love to help these children grow up healthy with the support of society and rebuild hope.

The evening included a pre-dinner cocktail reception, live donation appeals, and a charity auction featuring over 20 items donated by various philanthropic organizations. These included a hand-carved wooden sculpture “Eight Horses in Unity” donated by the Royal Thai Consulate-General, a pair of diamond wedding rings from Saturday Fu, a jade Guanyin pendant, a calligraphy and painting artwork titled “Heaven Rewards Diligence” donated by Tang Zhongwen—one of China’s Eight Great Calligraphers, a FiYta brand wristwatch, a 2002 vintage reserve champagne donated by the renowned French champagne house Taittinger, high-end leather goods from VASTO, and the Chilean state banquet wine Jewels Montes, among others. Attendees included management from Crowne Plaza Kunming City Centre and Holiday Inn Kunming City Centre, the Royal Thai Consul-General, sponsors such as LNNYY SPA, Hanghar World Famous Watch Centre, Saturday Fu Jewellery, VASTO, Yuepin Wine Academy, and Yunnan Jiawo Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., as well as numerous philanthropic individuals from all walks of life. All proceeds will be used to improve the study and living conditions of disadvantaged students in Yunnan.
