News report: The highly anticipated Beijing–Ji County intercity express train officially commenced operation on July 10. Nearly a thousand tourists took the train to enjoy free trips to Panshan.
According to information from the Panshan Scenic Area, in response to the launch of the Beijing–Ji County intercity express train, the scenic area has introduced a series of people-friendly initiatives. On July 10, the day of the first intercity train departure, tourists who rode the inaugural train were granted free admission to the Panshan Scenic Area and received souvenirs such as Panshan folding fans and sun hats. After July 10, visitors traveling to Panshan via the Beijing–Ji County intercity express train can enjoy a discount of 20 yuan per person upon presenting their ID and the same-day train ticket.
In addition, the scenic area has launched a series of summer promotions targeting residents of Beijing and Tianjin. From July 11 to August 31, the “1+1” summer campaign will allow one student and one parent to visit the Panshan Scenic Area for the price of one adult ticket. Elementary and middle school students and their parents can directly purchase the “1+1 Discount Ticket”; high school and college students along with their parents need to present a student ID to buy the “1+1 Discount Ticket”; recent graduates of the high school and college entrance exams can enjoy a 50% discount upon presenting their admission ticket and student ID.
The national 5A-level scenic spot—Panshan—boasts stunning natural scenery and profound cultural heritage. It is a tourist destination where beautiful landscapes and historic sites coexist, and Buddhist culture blends with imperial culture. Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty visited Panshan 32 times, leaving behind 1,702 poems and essays about the mountain, and once exclaimed, “If I had known about Panshan, why would I have needed to go south of the Yangtze?” The 5A-level Panshan Scenic Area is set to become an excellent summer retreat for the general public.
