The Harbin leg of the Pathfinder & Bird’s Nest Winter Olympics support run
hadn’t even started yetwhen outdoor enthusiastsbeganarriving one after another. Everyone rushed to scan the Pathfinder QR code and collect their race kits, which included a pair of fluorescent glasses, twenty fluorescent sticks, fluorescent shoelaces, and other cool glowing gear.
All participants used Pathfinder flags to make hats, armbands, capes, and wristbands for themselves, and painted the Pathfinder logo on their bodies with fluorescent powder. Everyone was incredibly excited, full of anticipation and curiosity for this new type of cross-country running event.

20:30, after the host and chief judge announced the rules and explained the prize details, lined up orderly at the starting point. Once at the start line, the chiefjudge announcedthe start, and a dazzlingly glowing team set off.。
The Flood Control Memorial Tower and Stalin Park are favorite summer hangouts for Harbin residents and also nationally renowned tourist attractions. That evening, people cooling off watched the colorful Pathfinder team pass by, marveling in amazement. Many locals even eagerly asked to join in, just to share in the joy.

30the first runner returned to the finish line. Amid cheers, they dashed through the finish chute, drenched in sweat and completely wet, but with excitement written all over their faces. One by one, all participants finished, their enthusiasm still undimmed. They partied, danced, and took countless photos in front of the backdrop, all wanting to extend the glow and magic of this Pathfinder night.

At the award ceremony,the winners receivedmedalsand prizes—the Explorer ultra-light backpacks—which delighted them greatly. Some participants, unwilling to leave after the event,lingered around the stage,untilthe final lights went out. With that,the Explorer-supported Harbin Cool Fluorescent Run, aiding Beijing’s Winter Olympics bid, came to a spectacular close.
The 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing sparked a nationwide fitness craze. As Beijing moves into the final stages of the selection process for the 2022 Winter Olympics, the host city for this winter sports extravaganza will soon be announced. On the eve of this announcement, Explorer, together with the Bird’s Nest, launched the “Brave Transformation · Let’s Run” campaign to support Beijing’s Winter Olympics bid. This health relay running event was held in four cities—Beijing, Shenyang, Harbin, and Zhangjiakou—with the aim of promoting an active and healthy lifestyle and spreading the Olympic spirit of faster, higher, stronger. It is reported that thefinalleg—the Zhangjiakou Mountain Marathon (August 2)—of the Explorer & Bird’s Nest-supported health relay run for the Winter Olympics bid is about to begin. That leg will see over 500 professional runners joining us in cheering for the successful bid.
