    Last Saturday, August 8, marked the seventh annual National Fitness Day in China. On that day, the 2015 National Fitness Day Theme Demonstration Event, hosted by the General Administration of Sport of China, was successfully held at the Beijing Olympic Sports Center. The event featured a 5-kilometer themed run and a fun sports carnival. With Beijing having recently won its bid to host the 2022 Winter Olympics, China’s swimmers delivering outstanding performances at the Kazan World Aquatics Championships, and the upcoming 15th IAAF World Championships in Athletics to be held in Beijing, public enthusiasm for sports has reached an all-time high, drawing over 2,000 participants.
