In 2015, the Yichang Municipal Tourism Bureau launched a series of activities to develop the self-driving travel market and create an “Outdoor Paradise & Self-Driving Heaven.” In April of that year, the “Fall in Love with Yichang · Free Self-Drive” national brand car self-driving tour event attracted over 200 branded vehicles and more than 500 self-driving travel enthusiasts from within the province as well as from Beijing, Guangzhou, Shaanxi, and other places. On August 1st, the “Scenic Drive Carnival — 2015 Fall in Love with Yichang National Brand Car Self-Driving Tour Season Two” was also successfully launched. This event builds on the market enthusiasm generated by the first season, “Fall in Love with Yichang · Self-Drive Adventure,” and is a special “Cooling-Off Action” tailored for the summer travel season.
