Shimao Hotels & Resorts and Zhi’ai Maternity officially form strategic partnership

Shanghai, August 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- On August 18, Shimao Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of Shimao Group, officially signed an agreement with Zhi’ai Maternity Special Care Service Co., Ltd., forming a strategic partnership. This marks a new phase of collaboration for Shimao Hotels & Resorts. The strategic cooperation between Shimao Group and Zhi’ai Maternity is not only a bold attempt by Shimao to pioneer new partnerships and expand new thinking, but also a perfect combination where both companies showcase their respective strengths.

With the advancement of the times and changes in the market, hotels are finding that the revenue generated from traditional services such as room stays, dining, conferences, beauty, and fitness is becoming increasingly limited and it is also difficult to create distinctive service features. Therefore, Shimao Hotels & Resorts has been continuously seeking new partners and expanding into new service areas. For instance, it recently formed a strategic partnership with Tesla for charging piles, and is currently in talks with Didi Kuaidi regarding transportation service cooperation. This deep collaboration with Zhi’ai Maternity undoubtedly opens up yet another new path for Shimao Hotels & Resorts.

Meanwhile, the maternity center cooperation project highlights the strengths of both companies, perfectly combining their respective advantages to help create maximum value. Shimao Group entered the hotel industry in 2004 and established its own hotel management company, Shimao Hotels & Resorts, in 2009. Currently, it operates 13 hotels nationwide, including 10 internationally branded managed hotels in partnership with Starwood, Hyatt, Hilton, and InterContinental, as well as 3 self-owned brand hotels. These hotels boast strong brand equity, prime and convenient locations, luxurious and comprehensive service facilities, as well as private and secure accommodation environments, providing impeccable material conditions for high-end maternity centers.
