Dr. Ye Feng, founder and chief coach of 108° Private Directors' Club, stated that the reason 108° initiated entrepreneur hiking activities in China is because the club believes hiking shares many commonalities with the struggles of entrepreneurs and startup founders—the hardships and monotony along the way, the difficulty and challenge of forging ahead, and the joy and sense of achievement upon reaching the end. Through hiking, entrepreneurs and founders can undergo both physical and mental training, which aligns with 108°’s mission to help enhance personal qualities and decision-making abilities of entrepreneurs and its vision of making “decision-making a belief.” In fact, since April 2015 when 108° began organizing entrepreneurial hiking challenge events, this marks the second edition. In the future, 108° plans to organize even more hiking activities in increasingly diverse formats. In addition to desert hikes, it will also organize snow and ice hikes and other events set in different environments and presenting various challenges, allowing more entrepreneurs and founders to gain self-control, self-improvement, and draw more courage and wisdom for entrepreneurship through these activities.
