With the conclusion of the National Day Golden Week, news from the Qingxi Tomb Scenic Area — a UNESCO World Heritage Site — reveals that during this year’s extended holiday, compared to last year’s Mid-Autumn and National Day break, the site welcomed nearly 45,500 visitors, marking a year-on-year increase of 29.72%. Ticket revenue reached 1,997,620 yuan, up 31.38% year-on-year. Both visitor numbers and overall economic benefits have hit new highs.
Staff at the Qingxi Tomb Scenic Area explained that since the beginning of this year, the site has adopted the development strategy of striving for national 5A-level scenic area status. It has carefully studied marketing and promotional strategies, explored various promotional channels through cooperation with online and radio media, and invited heads of travel agencies from Beijing, Tianjin, and other locations to hold tourism promotion events at the site. These efforts aim to provide effective methods and platforms for integrated development.
In preparation for the National Day Golden Week, the Qingxi Tomb Scenic Area also did its homework well in advance. In addition to improving infrastructure before the holiday, the site strengthened staff deployment for on-duty operations to ensure quality customer service. It also coordinated in advance with surrounding farm stays and restaurants to guarantee proper arrangements for visitors’ food and accommodation. Notably, to attract more tourists, a variety of colorful Manchu cultural performances were held throughout the holiday under the theme “Step into the Royal Blessed Land, Celebrate a Colorful National Day.” These included sacrificial ceremonies, character-displaying dragon lanterns, cultural lectures, storytelling sessions, diabolo performances, and cultural product exhibitions. These activities drew large crowds to the scenic area and allowed visitors to experience the rich charm of Qing dynasty culture while enjoying the beauty of the Qing tombs.
