How can one make assumptions without having arrived? Hearing that Wanda Movie Park had entered the Halloween carnival phase, as an experience-driven youngster of the internet era, I grabbed my friends and headed straight to the scene.
Excited beyond words, looking forward to the hidden terrors
Coming and going over Shahu Bridge, I often saw Wanda Movie Park quietly nestled by the lakeside, its gracefully curving architecture also giving off the impression of a flowing skirt. But it wasn’t until I arrived before it for the first time and looked up that I realized it was quite the imposing figure of a manly presence in stature. The night session only begins at 17:00. While killing time strolling leisurely in the square, I already saw large crowds putting on their ghost makeup in front of mirrors. In the center of the area, there was a formation of pumpkin lanterns, which made me feel that tonight would surely be an inescapable battle of gods and demons.
Finally, a quick reminder for everyone: during the Halloween period, please be careful while queuing or walking around, or you might get startled by a ghostly woman hiding in a corner. Also, free tattoo stickers are available at the entrance, with a variety of cool designs to choose from. And last but not least, I shamelessly plug the paper towels in the restroom — they’re surprisingly soft and durable even when wet after handwashing.
